Jeremy Campbell Motorsports announces partnership with local Kansas business!

With the start of the 2024 race season rapidly approaching, Jeremy Campbell Motorsports is pleased to announce the addition of Vornado Air, LLC to the team! Founded in Wichita, Kansas in 1945, Vornado maintains its worldwide reputation for forward-thinking products and above-and-beyond customer service from its headquarters in Andover, Kansas.

The addition compliments an already impressive roster of companies invested in both in Kansas and the Jeremy Campbell Motorsports team. “When we are developing these brand relationships with companies like Vornado, The Bradbury Group, Mel Hambleton, Dan’s Cycle, Scott’s Well Service and the other businesses that make up our team, we are really looking for companies that are committed to their employees, their consumers and race fans everywhere.”

“The Vornado products are not only designed beautifully, but they can stand up to the conditions we are encountering at the racetracks and as we travel. They’ve got a five year warranty and you don’t have to be worried they are going to break down or stop working just because you are using them in the dirt. The EX05 especially is so great in our trailer or in the shop in tight places,” said Campbell.

WICHITA, KS - Campbell salvages a 7th place finish with ASCS Sooner Region

The ASCS Sooner region returned to 81 Speedway for their last visit of the 2023 season this past Saturday. The crowd favorite #10c team had a strong 5th place finish going when the motor expired. Campbell was able to nurse the car around the track for the final lap before crossing the finish line 7th.

With only a few dates remaining on the schedule for the 360 sprint car, the team has made the decision to suspend racing for the rest of the season and focus on preparing for 2024. Campbell currently sits 11th in ASCS National points, despite only running 13 of their scheduled events this season.

The Ojar Peters #51 car will run one more event this season, a visit to Longdale Speedway with the URSS series.

Solid Showing for Campbell at Jesse Hockett Memorial

Wichita, KS  - More than 80 360 Sprint Car teams descended on Lucas Oil Speedway this past weekend for the always exciting Jesse Hockett Memorial.

Campbell started the weekend strong, qualifying second fastest in his group and then winning Heat 5, transferring him directly to Thursday’s main event. The #10c machine finished 8th in A-Main action, setting Campbell up on the front row of a Qualifier Feature for Saturday’s action.

Two different rain showers thwarted the ASCS and Lucas Oil teams best efforts at racing Saturday, and the entire show was moved to Sunday afternoon. Starting at the front of his qualifier, Campbell again was able to deliver a win, setting up a 11th place main event start. After watching the track throughout the event, the team unfortunately guessed wrong on how it would develop during the A main, and Campbell ended the weekend with an ill-handling car, salvaging a 17th place finish.

“We really thought the track was going to go away faster than it did on Sunday,” said Campbell. We set the car up for the end of the race, and then things never changed as much as we thought they would. It’s always an honor to make the main event here, 60 other cars didn’t, but we had a faster car than our results show.”

Next up for JCM is a return to 81 Speedway September 23rd.

Campbell 5th with American Sprint Car Series

8/28/2023

Wichita, KS - The Jeremy Campbell Motorsports team was back in action this weekend after a break following Campbell’s win at 305 Belleville Nationals. The ASCS traveled to the beautiful Salina Highbanks in Pryor, Oklahoma Saturday. This was Campbell’s first visit to the track in a 360 car, although he had visited last season with the Peter’s owned 305 Sprint Car.

Campbell clinched a heat race win, and a lucky draw set him up with a pole position starting spot for the main event. Unfortunately track conditions did not change the way the team anticipated and Campbell was left scrambling with a loose race car. Campbell eventually fell to 7th position before working his way back up to finish 5th.

“I was really hoping to see the top come in and be able to just rip around up there, especially on a fun track like this, but we missed the setup and unfortunately had to play catch up a little,” said Campbell.

Next up for JCM is a September 2nd ASCS event at Longdale Speedway.

Campbell victorious at maiden Belleville High Banks 305 Nationals voyage!

Jeremy Campbell and the Ojar Peters team traveled to Belleville Highbanks this weekend for their first attempt at taming the historic half mile with the 305 #51 Sprint Car. Campbell has now competed at the wicked fast track with the NCRA 410 Sprint Car series, the Malvern Bank 360 series (and NCRA 360 Series), and mostly recently with the URSS 305 series.

Friday the team started the weekend off strong, 2nd fast in qualifying, only a fraction off the new track record set by Luke Cranston. Finding clean air was key as usual during the main event, with Campbell and Stu Snyder chasing leader John Carney. Campbell finished the evening 3rd.

Saturday Campbell once again rose to the top of the field, claiming quick time in qualifying with the 45 car field, then moving from 4th to 2nd heat race action. Starting on the pole in the main event, Campbell was unable to get to the top by turn 1, and spent the race tracking leader Kyle Jones as the top cars set a blistering pace around the outside for the 30 lap feature.

Jones and the 4th place finisher would later fail to make weight requirements, with Campbell crowned Champion of the 6th Annual 305 Belleville Nationals, followed by John Carney and Luke Cranston.

“Racing all three sprint motors here at Belleville, the only main difference is the take off speed.” Campbell said. “When you are all wound up on the wall, it’s still a bad fast track to race on.”

The Jeremy Campbell Motorsports team extends a special thanks to Ojar and Cathy Peters for the opportunity to race with them this season!

Up next for JCM is a return to 81 Speedway August 19th with the URSS.

Campbell 12th in rain delayed feature at 81 Speedway

7/24/2023 - The American Sprint Car Series returned to 81 Speedway this past weekend, after their first event at the track was capped by a freak hailstorm. The day dawned bright and sunny, but unfortunately storms started to pop up by heat race time. Campbell ran 6th in his heat, and cars were preparing to line up for the feature as ASCS officials made every effort to push through and finish action before the impending storm, but unfortunately the rain and winds delayed action.

After a brief rain delay, the 81 Speedway team went back to work on the track, and fans began to emerge from their cars. When the A finally rolled onto the track Campbell lined up in the 18th starting position. The sprints set a blistering pace on the new surface, and Campbell was able to make it up to 12th spot before running out of laps.

Up next for the JCM team is a first time appearance at the 305 Nationals in Belleville, Kansas with the Ojar Peter’s #51 car.
