Campbell Strong at 63rd annual Hutchinson Grand Nationals.

7/29/2019

The Jeremy Campbell Motorsports team always rolls into the Hutchinson Fairgrounds ½ mile on a mission, and with a history of strong performances and a past Nationals victory, this weekend was no exception. Campbell dominated Friday’s duel heat races, coming from 4th to 1st in the first event, and leading from green to checkered in the second.

Going into Saturday night as the high points car, Campbell and Oklahoma native Danny Jennings lined up on the front row. After a drag race to the 1st corner, Jennings was able to grab the lead. The two front runners put a half straightaway between themselves and third place, but Campbell was never able to recapture the lead.

“We knew Danny would be tough on the start, he has so many victories here and he is always strong” said Campbell. “We sure would have liked to take that trophy home, but it’s always good to load the car up in once piece, and we will back even hungrier for that first NCRA win of the year!”

Next up for the 8-time 81 Speedway, 4-time NCRA Champion is a NCRA event at 81 Speedway August 17th followed by an ASCS Sooner event at Heartland Park in Topeka, Kansas August 24th.

Bad luck strikes Campbell in NCRA action

After a three week rain-imposed break from racing, the Jeremy Campbell Motorsports team was back in action on Saturday, June 8th at 81 Speedway. Campbell started the night strong, easily winning his heat race by a straightaway.

Feature action saw Campbell starting 3rd, and after a few starts the real racing began, with Campbell reeling in leader Grady Chandler as the two set a blistering speed out front. A late race caution proved to be the beginning of the end for the #10c run though, as the car tightened up quickly. One lap later Campbell would miss the wicked fast high grove in turn two and come back onto the track in the middle of lap traffic. Two cars tangled in front of him and Campbell got turned into the back stretch wall, flipping down the track.

“This is the same time of year, same spot on the track and same sort of situation I got caught up in last year,” said Campbell. “It’s frustrating to be battling for a top spot and have it all fall away so quickly. We will rebuild though, and hopefully be back next week to redeem ourselves! The car was absolutely perfect tonight and felt the fastest we’ve been all year, we just need to get back to that!”

Next up for Jeremy Campbell Motorsports is a NCRA 360 event Sunday, June 16th at 81 Speedway.

JCM Battles Wet Conditions in Wichita Falls

5/14/2019 – JCM Battles Wet Conditions in Wichita Falls

Saturday, May 11th the Jeremy Campbell Motorsports team made a first time appearance at water-logged Monarch Motor Speedway in Wichita Falls, Texas. The facility battled wet conditions all evening, with a 3 hour delayed start, and multiple competitors leaving before racing action began. The 10c team decided to stick in out, but Campbell tangled with the wall because of visibility issues during the heat race. Choosing to use his Champion provisional, Campbell bypassed the B and started scratch in the main event.  He began working his way towards the front, before handling issues caused by the conditions forced him to pull off.

“It’s not the way I wanted to represent NCRA, especially as the only team here from our group” said Campbell. “But I’m happy to make the journey here and hopefully help facilitate more events between our two series. Had the region not battled so much rain these last few weeks I think we would have put on a great show.”

Next up for Jeremy Campbell Motorsports is a community event with marketing partners Knoche Farms and Knoche Transport in Abbyville, Kansas followed by a NCRA 360 event May 26th at 81 Speedway.
