8/24/2020 – Double Header weekend with two Top-5’s for JCM

The Jeremy Campbell Motorsports team was in action two days this weekend, starting with a return to Humboldt Speedway with the ASCS Sooner Region.

A 3rd place finish in the heat race set Campbell up to start 9th in the Main Event. After a few wild starts, Campbell and the rest of the leaders began to set a blistering pace around the high side of the track. When the checkered flag fell, Campbell brought home a solid 5th place finish behind Blake Hahn, Ryan Timms, Sean McCelland, and Austin O’Neal.

Saturday the ASCS Sooner Region traveled to Monett Speedway in Monett, Missouri to battle the ASCS Warrior Region. Coming from 5th to 3rd in the heat race set the 10c machine up to start 5th in the A Feature.

Campbell survived some early race caution and restarts, and was running second when a red flag came out. At that point the team discovered Campbell had hit debris on the track earlier, causing a oil leak and even cutting into the frame in places.  Campbell was able to finish the remaining laps, and held on for 3rd place.

The pair of consistent finishes enabled the team to hold on to their ASCS Sooner Region points lead going into the next event at Nevada Speedway in Nevada, Missouri. Like Monett, this will be another new track for Jeremy Campbell Motorsports!
