Campbell victorious at maiden Belleville High Banks 305 Nationals voyage!

Jeremy Campbell and the Ojar Peters team traveled to Belleville Highbanks this weekend for their first attempt at taming the historic half mile with the 305 #51 Sprint Car. Campbell has now competed at the wicked fast track with the NCRA 410 Sprint Car series, the Malvern Bank 360 series (and NCRA 360 Series), and mostly recently with the URSS 305 series.

Friday the team started the weekend off strong, 2nd fast in qualifying, only a fraction off the new track record set by Luke Cranston. Finding clean air was key as usual during the main event, with Campbell and Stu Snyder chasing leader John Carney. Campbell finished the evening 3rd.

Saturday Campbell once again rose to the top of the field, claiming quick time in qualifying with the 45 car field, then moving from 4th to 2nd heat race action. Starting on the pole in the main event, Campbell was unable to get to the top by turn 1, and spent the race tracking leader Kyle Jones as the top cars set a blistering pace around the outside for the 30 lap feature.

Jones and the 4th place finisher would later fail to make weight requirements, with Campbell crowned Champion of the 6th Annual 305 Belleville Nationals, followed by John Carney and Luke Cranston.

“Racing all three sprint motors here at Belleville, the only main difference is the take off speed.” Campbell said. “When you are all wound up on the wall, it’s still a bad fast track to race on.”

The Jeremy Campbell Motorsports team extends a special thanks to Ojar and Cathy Peters for the opportunity to race with them this season!

Up next for JCM is a return to 81 Speedway August 19th with the URSS.

JCM scores two Top Ten’s with ASCS National Tour weekend

5-22-2023 - The Jeremy Campbell Motorsports Team made their season debut with the ASCS National Tour this weekend as the series made a two day stop at Longdale Speedway in Longdale, Oklahoma. With persistent rain following the series, teams were eager to get the event in, so the Friday / Saturday schedule was pushed to a Saturday / Sunday plan.

Campbell finished 3rd in his heat, setting up a 6th place start for Saturday’s 26 car main event. The feature went green to checkered, with 25 laps of blistering fast action, and Campbell crossed the finish line 7th.

Sunday’s action saw a 2nd place heat race finish, combined with 4th place in group qualifying, placing Campbell 10th to start the A. Playing defense after a couple on track bobbles by other drivers threatened to collect the #10c, Campbell found himself all the way back to 16th with ground to make up. As tire concerns began to come into play, Campbell was able to conserve rubber while still steadily picking off positions, running out of laps in 8th spot.

“The car was fast all weekend,” said Campbell. “I feel like I could put it wherever I wanted on the track, we just had a hard time making up ground. These guys are all so fast, and we are all so evenly matched, that when you get shuffled to the back or something like that, it’s hard to make up for that mistake. Two Top Tens for the weekend when you look at the quality of cars in those first 10 spots is pretty good.”

Next up for the Jeremy Campbell Motorsports team is a June 3rd event with the Ojar Peters team at Dodge City Speedway. Jeremy Campbell Motorsports is supported by Dan’s Cycle, Scott’s Well Service, Knoche Farms, Knoche Transport, Nelson Circles - TDN Farms, Mel Hambelton Ford Racing, Ivan and Tammy Etherton, Maxwell Ag Aviation, BEPC, Maxim Chassis, Hepfner Racing Products, Diversified Machine, Inc, Big Corner Creative, Advanced Performance Engineering, Cannady Body Shop, Hampel Oil, Penske Racing Shocks, Saldana Racing Products.

Campbell 2nd at 81 Speedway with URSS

5-15-2023

Jeremy Campbell and Ojar Peters teamed up for URSS action this past weekend at 81 Speedway in Wichita, Kansas. Coming off a 4th place finish on their last outing, the duo were eager to improve, and the track provided an elbows-up, fast racing surface!

Starting 6th in heat race action, Campbell made some quick moves at the start, and was able to make it up to second place before running out of laps. The impressive run put him high points for the evening, although a tough redraw resulted in the #51 starting 6th for the main event.

On a roll again during the A Feature, Campbell battled his way up to 2nd position, on the hunt for leader Jake Martens. The two put on a slide job clinic the last ten laps of the main, much to the delight of the Wichita fans. After a late race caution and restart, Martens emerged victorious with Campbell coming home second.

“Ojar’s #51 car was great, and I really appreciate the excellent equipment and opportunities I have with this car every time out. I feel like the track gave us a chance to show how fast we are, and things just keep getting better every time out,” Campbell said.

Next up for the Jeremy Campbell Motorsports team is a two day event at Longdale Speedway with the ASCS National Tour. Jeremy Campbell Motorsports is supported by Dan’s Cycle, Scott’s Well Service, Knoche Farms, Knoche Transport, Nelson Circles - TDN Farms, Mel Hambelton Ford Racing, Ivan and Tammy Etherton, Maxwell Ag Aviation, BEPC, Maxim Chassis, Hepfner Racing Products, Diversified Machine, Inc, Big Corner Creative, Advanced Performance Engineering, Cannady Body Shop, Hampel Oil, Penske Racing Shocks, Saldana Racing Products.

3 Event Weekend for JCM Team

4-25-2023

The Jeremy Campbell Motorsports team returned to action for the 2023 race season with 3 events over the weekend, running with both the URSS 305 Series and the ASCS Sooner Region.

The weekend started off with Campbell once again teaming up with Ojar Peters in the familiar #51 in honor of Mike Peters for the first URSS / 81 Speedway event of the year. After winning his heat race, Campbell went from 5th to 3rd in the A Feature.

Friday was the first ASCS Sooner region event of the year for the #10c team, at Thunderbird Speedway in Muskogee, Oklahoma, a new track for the team. Although passing proved difficult on the fast ½ mile, Campbell finished 14th.

Saturday the team traveled to another new track, visiting Elk City Motorsports Park, in Elk City, Oklahoma. Campbell finished 2nd in heat race action, and came home 3rd in the main event.

“We know track promoters out there are battling tough weather conditions, so it’s awesome to come out to a great track like Elk City for a first event and have awesome racing all evening.” Campbell said. “This weekend wasn’t as strong a start as we had hoped for, but I feel good about the way the car is running and I’m looking forward to the rest of the season.”

Jeremy Campbell Motorsports returns to Lucas Oil Speedway for Jesse Hockett Memorial

9/19/2022 - The Jeremy Campbell Motorsports team returned to Lucas Oil Speedway for the Jesse Hockett Memorial this past weekend. With more than 70 360 sprint cars on hand the event once again brought the best 360 racers across the country together for three days of racing action. The team struggled early, and spent Thursday and Friday chasing set-ups on an ever changing track surface. By Saturday night the team was able to rebound, coming from 14th to 5th in Campbell's B-Feature. "We were pretty far off base our first time on the track. We had so much ground to make up we decided to try a completely new set up to try to take advantage of the bottom but we just couldn't make it work. Finally Saturday we went back to the old school set up I've run for ages and it worked well for us. I'm trying to push myself to learn the newer ways of setting up the car for different conditions, but with this stout competition there's just no room for mistakes.

Up next is a September 24th appearance at Salina Highbanks with Ojar Peters and the #51 305 team, followed by the Steve King Memorial October 7th and 8th at Dodge City Raceway Park.

Campbell 6th at Caney with ASCS National Tour

9/12/2022 - After a multiple week hiatus from 360 racing, the Jeremy Campbell Motorsports team was back in action Saturday, September 10th with the Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series.

Campbell won his heat race, setting him up with a 5th place starting spot for the feature event. The rain-shortened event was called mid-way through the A, with Campbell finishing 6th.

"We've struggled to get in a rhythm this year, with so many weather and tire shortage issues affecting track schedules." said Campbell. "We sat out of the ASCS Sooner region points because we wanted to focus on a few different events closer to our sponsors and fans that would have conflicted with points races. Then a lot of those events have been canceled or rescheduled and we've been left with more weeks out of the seat than anticipated."

"It's nice to come out and still have a strong finish with the national guys going into a huge weekend like Lucas Oil." said Campbell.

September 14th, 15th and 16th the team heads to Lucas Oil Speedway for the Jesse Hockett Memorial with the ASCS National Tour. September 24th Campbell will visit the Salina Highbanks with Ojar Peters and the #51 305 team.

9/23/2021 – Campbell grows points lead in ASCS Sooner region after up and down weekend at Jesse Hockett  Memorial

The Lucas Oil American Sprint Cars Series, along with ASCS Sooner and Warrior regions descended on Wheatland, Missouri this past weekend for the Jesse Hockett Memorial. With more than 65 sprint cars on hand, the competition was intense throughout the weekend.

Campbell started the weekend strong, finishing 2nd in his heat, and going from 4th to 1st in his qualifier. This put him on the front row for the main event, where Campbell led the first part of the main event, before falling back to 5th.

Friday’s heat race found Campbell moving from 5th to 4th place, followed by a 3rd place finish in the qualifier. Campbell had to race his way into the main event, but won the B Feature, securing a 17th place starting spot.

Driving up to 14th in the main, the combined Thursday and Friday night’s points were enough to lock the Jeremy Campbell Motorsports team into Saturday’s main event. Starting 7th, Campbell and another car tangled and Campbell spun 7 laps into the feature. Going to the back of the pack, Campbell tried to force the high line around the top on the next lap but the car bicycled and went hard into the outside wall, ending the night for the team.

“We never want to end with a junk car, but I knew if I wanted to make up some positions quickly I was going to have to take some chances, and I just caught the rut wrong” Campbell said. “We were feeling really good about three nights in a row in the main event against this competition, and we will rebuild and be back out for the next race.”

The consistent speed over the weekend was enough to stretch Campbell’s ASCS Sooner points region lead from 4 points to 120. Up next for the team is a visit to Tri-State Speedway in Pocola, Oklahoma October 9th.

08/04/2021- July heats up for JCM, looking forward to August.

WICHITA, KS – July started off with a bang for the Jeremy Campbell Motorsports team, as they traveled to Monett Speedway in Monett, Missouri with the ASCS Sooner region. Campbell was consistently fast all evening, winning his heat race, and lining up third in A Feature action. Campbell jumped to an early lead, and led the field through the checkered flag.

This past week JCM joined with ASCS National Tour for the final three nights of Speedweeks. Campbell finished 6th at 81 Speedway Thursday night, came from 17th to 7th at Tulsa Speedway on Friday, and finished 7th at Outlaw Speedway on Saturday night.

“These little tracks like Creek and Tulsa Speedway are definitely not my strong point,” said Campbell. “But we are getting better on them every time out and it’s making me better as a driver. When we decided to travel more and catch more ASCS races I wanted to challenge myself against the best 360 guys out there, and push myself to grow, and that’s what these little tracks do. I love a big banked track, but you have to be able to adapt to whatever the night throws at you.”

The consistent weekend was enough to put Campbell back into the points lead with the ASCS Sooner region.

Up next for JCM is a two day ASCS swing to Caney Speedway and Creek County Speedway.

Jeremy Campbell Motorsports is supported by long-term sponsors Dan’s Cycle, Scott’s Well Service, Knoche Farms, Knoche Transport, Mel Hambelton Ford Racing, Ivan and Tammy Etherton, BEPC, Maxim Chassis, Hepfner Racing Products, Diversified Machine, Inc, Big Corner Creative, Advanced Performance Engineering, Cannady Body Shop, Hampel Oil, Penske Racing Shocks, Saldana Racing Products.

Campbell 3rd at 81 Speedway, Eyes on Upcoming Wingless Event

WICHITA, KS - The ASCS Sooner Region and JCM team made an inaugural visit to the New Tulsa Speedway Friday, June 19th. The event was the opening night for the new quarter mile, and as teams arrived finishing touches were still being completed at the facilities. Fans showed up in droves though, and by A-Feature time the stands were packed. Campbell finished 7th in the main event, his 10th top 10 of the season.

Saturday night the ASCS Sooner region returned to 81 Speedway, Campbell’s home track. With 17 sprint cars on hand, again the stands were packed to capacity with eager sprint car fans. Campbell dominated his heat race, leading by almost a straightaway at the checkered flag.

Campbell redrew 4th, setting him up in the 2nd row outside for A-Feature action. The 360’s set a blistering pass around the newly updated track, with the feature event going green to checkered and Campbell coming home third.

“I really wanted the win here tonight, but we are still blown away with the support from fans,” Campbell said. “It feels great to get back on the track here.”

Up next for JCM is a return to 81 Speedway for the 2nd annual USAC Border Wars.

Jeremy Campbell Motorsports is supported by long-term sponsors Dan’s Cycle, Scott’s Well Service, Knoche Farms, Knoche Transport, Mel Hambelton Ford Racing, Ivan and Tammy Etherton, BEPC, Maxim Chassis, Hepfner Racing Products, Diversified Machine, Inc, Big Corner Creative, Advanced Performance Engineering, Cannady Body Shop, Hampel Oil, Penske Racing Shocks, Saldana Racing Products.

5/5/2021 – Campbell fast in return to Creek County Speedway.

WICHITA, KS - After a weather change April 30th the ASCS Sooner region made a last minute return visit to Creek County Speedway. A track that was a challenge for the JCM team during the 2020 season has now become a strength, with Campbell and the #10c fast in hot laps, and winning heat two of four.

“Creek is just a different beast for us. We make changes to the car everywhere we go, but at Creek you just change everything, and even this weekend’s event was a different track than we’ve seen in the past. But it’s always good to feel like we can roll into a place and be fast.”

Starting 5th in the main event, Campbell was able to survive the restart mayhem and take advantage of lap traffic to take home a 4th place finish, behind Tyler Thomas, Alex Sewell and Kyle Clark.

The team would like to send a special thank you out to Steve Hahn and Creek County Speedway for the assistance after the team’s RV broke down Friday night, stranding the team in Sapulpa.

Next up on the ASCS Sooner schedule is a two-day Walleye Roundup Rodeo event at Longdale Speedway.

Jeremy Campbell Motorsports is thankful for the long-term support of Dan’s Cycle, Scott’s Well Service, Knoche Farms, Knoche Transport, Mel Hambelton Ford Racing, Ivan and Tammy Etherton, BEPC, Maxim Chassis, Hepfner Racing Products, Diversified Machine, Inc, Big Corner Creative, Advanced Performance Engineering, Cannady Body Shop, Hampel Oil, Penske Racing Shocks, Saldana Racing Products.
