Campbell Fast in Season Debut

WICHITA, KS - The Jeremy Campbell Motorsports team returned to action this Saturday at 81 Speedway, opening up their 2022 season with the ASCS Sooner Region.

24 cars checked into the event, and Campbell lined up on the front row for the heat race. Winning by almost a full straightaway, Campbell made clear that while the other teams may have a few more races under their belts this season; he would be getting up to speed quickly.

A bad start on the feature put Campbell on the defense early in A-Feature action, but the JCM team ended the night in 4th position, behind Blake Hahn, Ryan Timms and Dylan Westbrook.

“The first lap of the feature cost us a couple positions,” said Campbell, “but overall I’m happy with how we performed. Our only chance to test this off season was canceled due to weather, so to come out this strong against the ASCS Sooner and National guys feels good.”

Coming off his 2021 ASCS Sooner Region Championship, Campbell will again run many ASCS Sooner and National events this year, along with select events across the Midwest. Up next for the team is a April 16th visit to Caney Valley Speedway.
