Campbell Returns to Kansas Action

WICHITA, KS - The Jeremy Campbell Motorsports team got another chance to race in front of the hometown crowd this weekend with two Kansas events scheduled with the American Sprint Car Series.

First up Humboldt Speedway Friday evening. Campbell was second quick in qualifying action, and finished second in his heat race, setting him up for a 12th place starting position for the main event. Trying to make something happen around the top, Campbell initially fell back to 14th spot while everyone focused on the low line, but patience and persistence paid off late in the race, when he was able to stage an aggressive comeback, passing eight cars to finish 6th.

Saturday the JCM team returned to 81 Speedway, the first event of the year for the #10c team in front of the home crowd. Campbell was fastest in his qualifying group, and started 4th in heat race action, finishing 2nd. This speed and consistency set Campbell up to start 5th in the main event.

Jason Martin, Matt Covington and Brandon Anderson set a blistering pace as the feature took off, with Campbell and Kyler Johnson close behind. Campbell had just passed for 4th place when he tangled with a lap car mid race, ending his feature run.

“I hate to go out like this in front of our fans and sponsors,” said Campbell. “Every time we run here at 81 we want to deliver an exciting show, and tonight we just didn’t have the luck we needed. I’m looking forward to coming back in July and getting the job done.”

Pair of Top Ten's for JCM in weekend ASCS Action!

Wichita, KS - After a two week hiatus from racing action, the Jeremy Campbell Motorsports team returned to Creek County this weekend for the two day Mickey Walker Classic.

The tight corners and unique racing at Creek continues to be a challenge for the team, but Campbell and the team continue to make progress, and recorded two top ten's for the weekend plus a heat race win.

"This tight racing where everyone is on top of each other in the corners is just such a different head game for me. I've spent so many years racing at tracks where you are watching your line into corners so you aren't getting behind someone and messing up your airflow, that to come to a place like this where the regulars are used to being four or five cars deep in the corners really pushes me outside my usual driving style," Campbell said.

Next up for the team is a June 25th event at 81 Speedway, followed by a ASCS National Tour weekend at Wakenney Speedway.

Campbell Victorious at Monett Motor Speedway

5/16/2022

WICHITA, KS – The Jeremy Campbell Motorsports teamed captured win #1 of the season this Saturday in only the second race of the season! The ASCS Sooner and Warrior regions returned to Monett Motor Speedway this weekend, where Campbell had won with the series in 2021, and again was fast from the start. With multiple teams facing tire issues, Campbell used his experience and tire control to hold on to the lead as the checkered flag waved.

“We cut a tire in the heat race, and as people were falling off I knew I needed to drive it straight into the corners and not slide my tires across the surface. With the tire shortage around the Midwest we really have to be smart with our new tires. We chose to run a used tire and made it work,” said Campbell.

Saturday night both tours continued the competition at Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Missouri. The team struggled with set-up throughout the evening, but Campbell raced his way into the main event through the B feature. Starting 19th, the #10c machine made it up to 16th place.

Up next for the team is a May 21st event at 81 Speedway, followed by the Mickey Walker Classic at Creek County Speedway June 3rd and 4th.
